Technology Showcase at Texas APA Conference

This year's Texas APA Conference was one of the most successful to date with over 500 planning professionals from cities and councils of governments attending, according to Mike McAnelly, APA Board Member.

The annual event was held at the Omni Hotel Bayfront in Corpus Christi, TX from the 18th to the 21st of October.

Limehouse Software was one of few select companies invited to present a Technology Showcase session. The session was designed to highlight how Planning departments can use technology to create dramatic cost efficiencies internally while at the same time improving public service.

Limehouse Software hosted a one hour session which focused on how to revolutionize publishing processes and citizen participation using Internet technology. The session was attended by a mix of Planners, Directors and Consultants all of whom were looking for ways to improve current practise and keep their community at the heart of the planning process.

Des Shanahan, Sales Director for the US, delivered a 45 minute presentation which focused on benefits associated with single source publishing, how it facilitates significant cost reductions in the production of an array of planning documents coupled with improved interaction with the public during periods of citizen feedback.
